This week, I babysat my 4-year-old niece, Arabella, while my brother and his wife went to Florida. (If you recall, I wrote that one of Justin's music videos was chosen to compete at the International Christian Film Festival in Orlando. Last week was the week! Sadly, he did not win an award this time around, but he made a lot of good contacts with other filmmakers.) Anyhow, I don't get to see Arabella every day, and I wanted her to have a fun time on this very first four days ever in her life away from Mom and Dad. I think I was successful in spite of the quite miserable sinus infection I've been dealing with for the last week. I also wanted it to be creative fun...not just sitting in front of the boob tube for hours on end. And, because I am a thrifty and creative soul, I wanted it to be fun that didn't cost oodles of dollars and something that would spark her imagination.
