Social media has grown to become the focus of so many people. It is about thoughts and ideas, but mainly as a battle over which thoughts and ideas shall dominate as superior and virtuous. That has divided people and taught them to reject and scorn those who fall outside of one's camp. Never has it been as successful - and detrimental - as it was during 2021 and 2022 when the "enlightened" raged against "selfish anti-vaxxers" who had good sense or spiritual convictions which caused them to refuse the injections regardless of societal cost. I say never ...that is an exaggeration. I believe many similar social dynamics were in play prior to and during WW2.
Your substack is a beautiful reminder of the richness of life and all that can be experienced by putting aside one's phone, minimizing the importance of social media, and living by deliberately doing and creating. When one isn't caught up in a constant joust to heap scorn and count coup upon those who see things differently, there's a wonderful gift - called life - to be experienced and shared in positive, encouraging ways. Bravo to you for doing exactly that.
Hope to see your book (27) on the market. I would like to have one. Looking forward to reading "27".
I’m working on it!
I know you are. It's quite a procedure to get it on the market.
Oddly, I am more extreme (in. non-aggression sort of way) but I totally agree with this:
> "And none of them, on either side, provoke in me, by their words or actions, a longing for anything they might have."
Thank you.
Thanks for reading. I appreciate it.
Anytime. I appreciate you writing it.

Thank you! I remember Facebook during the Covid years. Gives me a shudder to think of it.
