Music Runs in My Family - Issue #11
Music in the night...
Justin and I both grew up listening to live music--Mom practicing cello, Mom and Dad teaching music lessons, Dad tuning pianos, our two older siblings singing, Dad singing, and Dad composing new music. My dad who passed away last year, was a musician and composer of the highest caliber. He was also probably the world's worst sleeper. All of us kids remember hearing him at the piano, late into the night composing some of his beautiful music. Justin began tinkering with music composition as a little kid. Now as a dad himself, he's writing and recording solo pieces every year or so and new hymns every week. You can follow him on Facebook, Spotify, YouTube, Instagram, and sign up for his newsletter here on Getrevue! Follow the link below to listen to Fairytale:

I wrote an intro to the song for Justin's last newsletter, and I hope you take a moment to read it as it will help you understand the "why" behind the song. You can read it below.
I hope you find the song meaningful. While you're at it, make sure to listen to his other singles on Spotify and watch some of his music videos on YouTube. One of my favorites is Day by Day, which meant a lot to me and my family while we went through the process of saying goodbye to my dad last year.
Future Endeavors
I am hoping that someday soon, I too, will send you off to Spotify to listen to a song of mine. That is my goal with "A Better Resurrection." And we made one step along that pathway, my husband and I, this week. In spite of stomach viruses and my chronic ailments, we got the thing recorded properly on Wednesday. I'll keep you informed on next steps.
Until next time...
P. S. In the meanwhile, go directly to Justin's social media and follow him, because a lot more music is in the works.
