I break my publishing vacation to bring you an update about “Good Friday,” the song I recorded a few weeks back and shared with you on Holy Week! This one:
I was somewhat blown away by the overwhelming positive reaction, and I got a number of requests to put this song on streaming/download platforms.
Upon the advice of my brother, I asked my friend, Zachary Horner, to do a more professional mix and master of the tracks to bring them up to industry standards. Zachary is a composer, as well, and is distinguishing himself as a film composer these days. Check out his accomplishments here:
If you have music needs for a film project or anything else, really, you should contact him.
He added a few touches of his own to the song which my family loves and I’m convinced you will, too. It’s so beautiful, and I can’t wait for you to hear it!
So, here’s the down-low:
Good Friday’s release date is May 10th!
On or after that date, as various platforms approve it, Good Friday will be available to stream on most major streaming platforms like Spotify, and available to purchase on iTunes.
Update: Good Friday is now available for pre-order on iTunes:
Here’s the cover art for the song I chose with the help of my brother, Justin Barber, and my husband, Jonathon Hill.
Justin has released several of his own songs in the past, so I relied on his advice through this process. Look him up!
As I have more information, I will update you all here. So, if you have friends and family interested in the song, encourage them to subscribe!
And finally, this whole process cost me a few hundred dollars, which I do not begrudge at all. I am proud of my dad’s (Richard Joseph Barber) beautiful music and have had the desire to do what is necessary to get it in front of more listeners for a long time now. But if you feel so lead to help defray the costs of this project, you can do so by becoming a paid subscriber or buying me a coffee.
Stay tuned for more developments! And spread the word by sharing, sharing, sharing!
That’s all for now. Until next time, folks…
